Pam Forster
Member since 11/2014
Pam Forster has always loved studying the Bible and sharing that love with others. Pam and John Forster started homeschooling in 1988, and graduated the last of their six children in 2011. Long ago, while desperately trying to keep three crazy little boys in line, she discovered that the Bible had a wealth of answers to her child-training questions. Through writing books and blogging for Doorposts, Pam helps other Christian parents discover these biblical answers.

Bible Study for Busy Mamas

It’s not easy, spending time in God’s Word when your house is full of little ones who need you twenty-four hours a day. But it’s essential! This session offers special encouragement and practical help to busy mothers who need the nourishment of God’s Word in their demanding lives. You’ll learn simple methods for meaningful Bible study, find creative ways to carve out your own Bible study time, and even discover ways your young children can study right along with you.

Christian Courtship in the Real World

Calling romance “courtship” or suffocating it with rules does not guarantee a positive experience, as some are discovering. There is no one right “method” that ensures success and happiness, and yet, God has established principles that we are wise to observe. By taking the precautions outlined in this session, we can wisely prepare our children for romance and make courtship a positive experience for them. Pam Forster, mother of five happily married children, has been through five wildly different courtship scenarios, and she has some surprising and encouraging stories to share with you.

Influential Parents who Mirror God’s Character

How we live as parents has a tremendous impact on our children, often more than we realize. We need to look to our heavenly Father as the perfect example of a wise and loving parent. Listen to Pam Forster tell how her parents’ imperfect faithfulness influenced her life, and how you can have a positive impact on your children by imitating the character of our heavenly Father.

Raising Children Who Love God and His Word

Our goal as Christian parents is to make disciples of our sons and daughters. God’s Word is a key tool in our discipleship efforts, but we sometimes struggle with how to apply it, how to make it central in our homes, and how to make it relevant to our children. If we merely use Scripture to control, but not to disciple, our children, we risk driving them away from the faith. This workshop explains several key practices that help make the Bible attractive and relevant to your children. Here are simple, practical things you can do to raise up children who love God and His Word!

What I Would Do Differently as a Homeschool Mom

Pam Forster, a veteran writer and homeschool mom, shares some perspective now that her six children are all grown up, graduated, and getting married. You can do a better job of raising your children for the Lord by learning from these lessons God has taught her after thirty years of parenting. This session will broaden your perspective, help you discover blind spots, and see how God works even to redeem our mistakes.
