Lynda Richardson Coats

Married to Lauren Coats since 1972; homeschooled three children to adulthood, beginning in 1980 and assisted in homeschooling 3 others for some of those years; founder and only administrator of COvenant Academy homeschooling umbrella program since 1993; have taught co-op classes in English composition, drama, crafts, and the Bible's view of sex; lead annual getting started workshops for new homeschool parents.

My Mission Statement

I have been called by God first to homeschool my own and now to assist others in doing it. My goal is to help families reach beyond the all-too-common public school mentality or the belief that they have to follow someone else to be sure they are doing it right. I believe this is as surely my calling as some are called to a preaching ministry or to foreign missions. This has been on my heart for many years and I take every opportunity to achieve it.
