Dana Bailey
Member since 06/2007
Dana began her homeschool adventure in 1996.  She had 5 kids under the age of 5 and knew only one other person who homeschooled.  14 years later she is still committed to home education and enjoys spending time with moms who are just getting started in their own homeschool encouraging them in their new role as "teacher".  Dana shares,"I didn't have any support, we didn't have the internet, I just had one friend and her leftover materials and catalogs to use for my daughter."

Dana and her husband, Scott, have 10 children now and together are committed to homeschooling their children until the last one graduates.

Dana served in her homeschool group, Frisco HIS, on the leadership council for 8 years, 2 of those years were served on the Board as the New Homeschooling Director.  As the New Homeschool Director she mentored moms and taught a monthly class to new homeschool moms on the basics of homeschooling.  In 2006 she was named Homeschool Leader of the Year by Texas Homeschool Coalition.

She currently serves as a ministry leader at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, TX where she coordinates the Mom2Mom ministry for over 150 moms and teaches the Bible study class.
Dana says, "I enjoy sharing my heart & passion about homeschooling with moms and I have been described as very transparent and humorous.  I don't have it all together and I will be the first to admit that.  But I love the Lord with all my heart and am so privileged that He allows me to share my passion with others."

In 2006 Dana launched her own speaking ministry, Living Stones, as a way to encourage & equip moms in their Biblical roles.  You can see more of her writings and speaking topics at Living Stones Ministry.

My Mission Statement

My mission is to create a hunger for the Lord through my story and by sharing what the Lord has taught me about being a godly wife and mother in a very ungodly world. Homeschooling can seem to complicate the life of a believer by making us even more different that other believers. I want moms to know that they are not the only ones who experience depression, rebellious children and struggles in their marriage. I try to use humor along with my real life experiences to make them want to know more of God than they already do.
